It‘s 150 years in the future and your current project is being presented in a museum‘s exhibition of their archives. Write a 500-750 word wall text about the piece: It‘s material, concept, historical context (prior to 2018, and after), the artist, and other relevant information.

In a public crit, tell us what storage or technical considerations will need to have been considered up to 2168, and how the work will be displayed in the museum. Will there be elements of reenactment or will the piece be shown as-is. Will there be substitute performers, materials, or technologies? What vocabularies and considerations would you use to describe these issues? What other issues might arise in the future archival presentation of your current work?

Marisa Olson ist eine in  New York lebende Künstlerin, Kuratorin, Dozentin und Herausgeberin. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst an der Goldsmiths University in London, History of Consciousness an der UC Santa Cruz und Rhetorik an der UC Berkeley. Ihr Werk kombiniert Performance, Video, Zeichnung und Installation und befasst sich mit der kulturellen Geschichte von Technologie, Gender-Experiences, der Politik von partizipativen Praktiken in der Pop-Kultur und der Ästhetik des Scheiterns. Marisa Olson gilt als Mitbegründerin der sog. Post-Internet Art.
