Cities and The Letter Workshop + Saunatalk with Benjamin McMillan / FullAutoFoundry

Taking Calvino’s Invisible Cities – a story of Marco Polo describing the many cities he has travelled to along the Silk Road whilst all-the-while talking about one city, Venice – as a reference we will come up with a description of Offenbach describing its city and/or its surroundings. To visualize their our descriptions we will each make a typeface using Full Auto Foundry Machine ™ riffing off the sentence and collectively producing a type-specimen.

All typefaces will be made with the FullAutoFoundry machine, therefore no prior knowledge of any software or programm will be necessary. Organized as part of KlasseKlasse, open for students from all departments at HfG and limited to max. 12 participants.
