Figure-accentuating

The exhibition presents figurative sculptures. Nine female sculptors approach the theme in very different ways. Figure in human measure - portrait, torso, bust, lying or standing, fully plastic or as relief - is a highly topical theme within contemporary art.
In the historical context of sculpture of the last 150 years, between Camille Claudel and Louise Bourgeois, figure was and is a central theme for artists who think and see sculpturally. In this tradition, the nine participating sculptors, who realize diverse materials and their own pictorial ideas in their work, stand.
