Symposium: how to shape and be shaped

What happens to design when it encounters what lies beyond its control? Who or what else takes part in shaping form? And how? Among others, ecological entities and (media) temporalities act upon art and design in ways we cannot direct. This is often described as agency. With talks by international speakers, the symposium asks what ecological and temporal agency actually means and how artistic and design practice might meet the unpredictable.
