At the interface of functional art, experimental communication and collaborative formations, Lukas Marstaller's practice is formulated in sculptures, installations, publications, websites and music with playful translation gestures as a connecting narrative. He is co-founder of the design studio BNAG and part of the FAN collective.
His works have been part of exhibitions at Kunsthalle Basel, Badischer Kunstverein (Karlsruhe), Etage Projects (Copenhagen), Friedman Benda (New York City), Nam June Paik Art Center (Seoul) and ZKM - Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, among others.
Marstaller lives and works in Berlin. He teaches as an artistic assistant at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and researches spatial metaphors between body and surface.
