Mohamed Bourouissa

Mohamed Bourouissa is an Algeria-born French photographer, based in Paris.
In 2020 Bourouissa won the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize. His work has been featured at many international institutions such as the Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin, Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Centre Pompidou, Paris, Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, Haus der Kunst, Munich, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Biennale de Lyon, Havana Biennial, Biennale de Berlin, Sharjah Biennial, United Arab Emirates, Blum & Poe Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, Kamel Mennour gallery, Paris and London, the Studio Museum in Harlem, Museum für Modern Kunst, Frankfurt, and the New Museum, New York.

The Bildhauerei department is taking the opportunity to invite artists and curators to present lectures via video conference. It is fortunate for us to have them speak, due to their usually busy schedules, and so we recommend making a small amount of online research and looking into the speakers work beforehand. The lectures and Q&A take place on Wednesdays evenings from 18hr-20hr.
