OK NO

With the installation OK NO (2019) by the feminist art collective Claire Fontaine, SYNNIKA opens a new event space for experimental practice and theory in Frankfurt am Main. The work of art developed for the shop window of the SYNNIKA space, a neon sign that alternately illuminates the words 'ok' and 'no', is reminiscent of the light signals of road traffic. However, Claire Fontaine combines the colour green with the word NO and the colour red with OK. Similar contradictions also emerge in three text sculptures, the content of which will be discussed in a workshop with Claire Fontaine the day after the opening. Further information on the event programme can be found online at: www.synnika.space
SYNNIKA was founded by the Realism Working Group in cooperation with the NIKA.haus. HfG-Alumna Jessica Sehrt is part of the Realism Working Group.
