HfG student wins the NWW Special Design Award 2014

Marina Fischer a Product Design student, receives the Special Award at the NWW Design Award 2014. The jury was so impressed with her design Mustage - a connecting system without screws - that they chose it over entries from 200 fellow entrants. The work was produced in her 3rd semester under Prof. Frank Zebner.

There is a competition for the NWW* Design Award ievery two years, centerng on a key topic. This year, the brief was for product designs that address the topic of anti-fragility. What sets the competition apart: all wining entries are realized as prototypes and providiing they are deemed marketable go into production. Panel chairman was Austrian artist Erwin Wurm. The compeition and design gala attracted great media attention in Austria.
