Successful Autumn School premiere
With some 2,000 participants the B3 Autumn School in Frankfurt celebrated a successful premier. HIghllights of the last day were the final presentations of the workshop by the Hessen Film and Media Academy (hFMA) on such subjects as transmedia, Immersive film making and interactive movies. From 29 September to 4.October, 2014 creative upcomers from Germany and Europe were invited to become familiar with the very latests trends, technologies and developments in the areas of film, TV, Web, design, games, art and sound . In 35 workshops, 40 regional, national and international media experts and artists passed on their know-how to pupils, teachers, studetnts and young professionals. "We cannot rate too highly events and formats on innovative subjects like the B3 Autumn School," said Boris Rhein, Hessen's Minister for Science and Art ."We need young people with sound and comprehensive training if we are to strengthen Hesen as a creative location and enhance its international cachet. The B3 platform is ideally placed to do that“. Prof. Bernd Kracke, artistic director of the B3 Moving Image Biennale was also highly satisfied with the new offshooot of B3: "Full rooms, enthusiastic participants and dedicated speakers. With its attractive programme the premier of B3 Autumn School was very well received. A special highlight was the B3 Think Tank, which took place simultaneously and in which the key topici of B3 2015 "Expanded Senses" was discussed". Organizer of B3 Moving Image Biennale is the HfG in cooperation with the Hessen Film and Media Academy (hFMA). B3 is promoted by Hessen's Ministery of Science and Art (HMWK), the Hessische Landesmedienanstalt LPR and the City of Frankfurt/Main. The aim of the festival started in 2013 is to create a broad-based alliance for the moving image. The Biennale has an interdisciplinary approach. It offers an international platform for discussing the networking of film and television makers, artists, designers, academics and technology providers, industry particpants and upcoming talents.

Veranstalter der B3 Biennale des bewegten Bildes ist die Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main (HfG) in Kooperation mit der Hessischen Film- und Medienakademie (hFMA). Die Träger der B3 sind das Hessische Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst (HMWK), die Hessische Landesmedienanstalt LPR und die Stadt Frankfurt am Main. Ziel des 2013 gestarteten Festivals ist es, eine breit angelegte Allianz für das bewegte Bild zu schaffen. Die Biennale agiert dabei interdisziplinär und genreübergreifend, sie bietet eine internationale Plattform für den Diskurs und die Vernetzung von Film- und Fernsehmachern, Künstlern, Designern, Wissenschaftlern, Technologieanbietern, Branchenteilnehmern und Nachwuchstalenten.
