angelika Levi studied at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb). Since 1985, her work has been shown at international film festivals, in cinemas, exhibitions and on television. Her short film FAUST AUFS AUGE (1988) won the No-Budget-Videopreis Hamburg, DESIREE & POLYLEPIS (1994) was rated high quality by the German Film Review Board in Wiesbaden. MEIN LEBEN TEIL 2, her first feature-length documentary, won several awards and premiered at the Forum/International Film Festival Berlin 2003. CHILDREN OF SRIKANDI premiered at the Panorama/International Berlinale 2012 and also won several awards. Her film installation MIETE ESSEN SEELE AUF was shown in the exhibition "Housing Question" at HKW, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin from 23 October to 14 December 2015. Her new film AHORITA FRAMES premiered at Forum Expanded, 71st Berlinale 2021. Levi's films and videos are distributed by "Arsenal Distribution - Institute for Film and Video Art". Since October 2022 she is professor for film at the HfG Offenbach.
