The traditional »Rundgang« open day, the climax to the academic year at Hessen State University of Art and Design (HfG) in Offenbach, takes place every year at the end of the summer semester in July. Visitors to the three-day event can familiarize themselves with the artistic and creative work performed in Art, Communication Design, Media, Stage Design, and Product Design and gain an insight into the education provided at HfG and artistic processes that is not possible during on-going teaching. Pieces of work created during the past academic year and projects specifically geared to the situation are showcased. On Schlossplatz the »CrossMediaNight« featuring film and media-based works, concerts, and DJs, always marks the start of the event. Current film and video productions are screened at Film Night on the second evening.
